Welcome to the Langcliffe Village website. Langcliffe is a beautiful, conservation village in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It lies one mile north of the market town of Settle, home to the famous Settle to Carlisle railway.

Improving the Environment We Live In

Ribble Life is a DEFRA funded pilot scheme aimed at exploring better ways to engage with people and organisations to help improve the water environment at a local catchment level.  Parts of the upper Ribble are classed as being in poor ecological status. This means that they are failing in terms of water quality for a range of reasons. Ribble Life is inviting join them on a 3 mile walk to discuss the challenges and opportunities for managing the River Ribble and its surrounding environment. Find out more details here..

 

Produce CategoryLangcliffe Show Catalogue Now Available

The catalogue for Langcliffe Show, which is being held on Saturday 18 August, is now available. Classes include: Art, Children's, Fruit, Culinary, Produce, Photography, Handicrafts and Floral Arrangements. Both Langcliffe and non-Langcliffe residents can enter the show. All entries must be received on an official entry form by Friday 3 August. Sunday Afternoon Teas 2012

Afternoon teas with delicious homemade cakes will be served on most Sunday's between May and September in the Village Institute. These events raise vital funds for local organisations. Click here to view further information.
