Langcliffe Today
The Langcliffe Today website aims to be a useful guide on all things Langcliffe. It has sections on what is happening and affecting Langcliffe including advice on accommodation, pictures of the village, a map of the village, walks in the area, guides on both birds and flora seen in the area and a section on houses in the village.
On this website you will find out lots of history about Langcliffe. The history ranges from millions of years ago to the recent history of the people and issues of the day that affect the village and the area. New to the site is photographs of the Langcliffe in Stitches Tapestry, displayed in Langcliffe Institute. The tapestry illustrates the history from Ancient times to Modern Day. See the pictures here.
Langcliffe Church Events
Book Stall- The church is open daily. Within the church is a secondhand book stall with an ever changing supply of books for sale.
Craven Conservation Group invite everyone in Langcliffe Parish to take a photo of a wild flower in the Parish and either fix it to the display in the back of the church Or email the photo to Judith Allinson at jallinson@daelnet.co.uk (6 Willow Wood ). It would be really nice to have a good display of photos for the coming weekend (10 July) old Langcliffe display although this project is ongoing through out the year. Apparently in 2000, 360 different species of wildflower and fern were recorded in the Parish. They would like photo’s to be 6 X 4.
