Manor Farm House: the unusual kingblock truss - one of two

roof.JPG (133729 bytes)   The blades are tenoned into a block resembling the top of a kingpost which carries the ridge piece and braces running lengthwise into it. The pendant block is often carved. (Harrison and Hutton, Vernacular houses in North Yorkshire and Cleveland)
